CodeON is hitting the road this spring — and we need you!

CodeOn Volunteers needed

Thanks to a grant from the Boeing Employee Credit Union (BECU), CodeON the Road will launch at local festivals, bringing hands-on computing experiences to students where they already are. Our winter sessions have been fantastic, and as we grow, we could really use more volunteers — individuals and company teams are welcome (and encouraged!) to serve together.

 

Volunteer Opportunities

CodeON the Road (Festivals):
  • St. George Grits Festival: April 10–12 (Fri–Sun), 9 AM–6 PM
  • Walterboro Rice Festival: April 24–25 (Fri–Sat), 9 AM–6 PM
CodeON Spring Sessions (thank you ATI Foundation for your support):
  • Tuesdays, April 7 – May 12, 2026 (6 weeks total)
  • 3:30–4:30 PM — St. Julian the Divine Community Center, Downtown Charleston
  • 5:30–6:30 PM — Gethsemani Community Center, North Charleston

What to Know

  • Volunteers provide their own transportation
  • Each volunteer will have a city background check (no fee)
  • No technical skills required — just consistency and a love for the students
  • The students rely on you, so please sign up only if you can commit to the dates you choose
